School Uniform Grant

If your child/children are eligible for Free School Meals, a uniform grant of up to £40 per child can be claimed on an annual basis for your child/children during their time at Hyde High School. You will be able to order uniform from our school supplier (Monkhouse) up to the value of £40 for each child.  The order forms are available from the School Reception.

If you think your child/children should be entitled to Free School Meals there is a new system in place as Tameside Local Authority no longer run this service.

Council Tax Support

We appreciate that this is a difficult time for many and that the COVID-19 virus is having a significant impact on the economy. If you are struggling to pay your Council Tax, we wanted to make you aware of the support available and how the Council can help you if you have been affected.

  1. Make sure that you have claimed all of the benefits that you are entitled to. For working age families: Universal Credit from the DWP
  2. Get in touch with the Council
  3. The Council may be able to agree to a special payment plan so that the Council Tax due for 2020/21 is split over 9 months, from July 2020 to March 2021, meaning that in some cases you will not have to pay anything until July.

  4. The Council can also look at your arrears so that they can consider everything you owe to them and avoid any extra costs or charges.

Employment
