After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool, Mr. Surridge returned to London to complete his PGCE and train as an English teacher. Over the next nine years, he held a range of positions in inner London secondary schools, including Head of English and Assistant Headteacher.
Driven by a strong interest in educational research, he went on to complete an MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford. Following a move from London to Manchester, Mr. Surridge briefly stepped away from teaching to gain leadership experience in other sectors, before returning to education to take on the role of Assistant Headteacher at Hyde High School, where he leads on Teaching and Learning.
