Publicly-funded schools in England get extra funding from the government to help them improve the attainment of their disadvantaged pupils, this is called Pupil Premium.

The pupil premium grant is designed to allow schools to help disadvantaged pupils by improving their progress and the exam results they achieve.
Each year the Academy receives a sum of money for all eligible students who are registered for Free School Meals, in Local Authority Care or is the child of Service Personnel.
The funding allows students to benefit from a free school meal each day and allows the Academy to support students in other ways including:

We aim to use our Pupil Premium funding to bring lasting academic and personal benefit to those students who are on ‘Free School Meals’, who are ‘Looked After in Care’ or the children of Service Personnel.
Support for school uniform for Pupil Premium students is available and information is sent out at the end of Year 6 to eligible students. Support is also available on request for all Pupil Premium Students.
