Update 14:50 – School Closure (Year 7-10) – Thursday 14th May 2026

Parents and Carers,

Thank you to our whole school community for your support today as we dealt with an unexpected issue with our water supply.We hope that all students in Years 7 to 10 were able to continue with their learning through the work set on Google Classroom. 

Engineers are confident that the problem has now been identified and resolved, and at this stage we expect school to be open as normal for all year groups tomorrow. We will continue to receive updates throughout the night and into the morning, and we will confirm our position with staff, students, parents and carers by 7:30am.

A special thank you goes to our fantastic Year 11 students, who showed real resilience today—completing their maths exam and then moving straight into a full day of lessons, revision, and preparation for the rest of the exam season.

We would also like to extend our thanks to our brilliant catering team, who provided lunch bags and a hot meal that allowed staff and Year 11 students to enjoy lunch together despite the disruption.
