Hyde High School has achieved Stage 2 of the Quality in Careers Standard and is working towards the assessment for Stage 3 of the Award.  The school's CEIAG curriculum meets all of the Gatsby benchmarks thus ensuring all students at Hyde receive comprehensive information and guidance on the next steps of their education, training or employment.

Your child’s careers education will be delivered throughout all subjects during their time at Hyde High School. Careers is delivered through bespoke lessons and follows a mapped out pathway to enable students to identify areas of development and to be able to produce key documentation needed for application to college or employment.

Students will also gain valuable careers related experiences through a range of other events including:

  • Form time activities
  • Enrichment days
  • School trips
  • College taster days
  • University visits
  • Mock interview days
  • Careers fairs
  • Careers themed assemblies
  • Employer visits
  • Work with external agency Positive Steps


Fasttomato and eClips


All students are also given access to the 'Fasttomato' and 'eCLIPS' website resources. Fasttomato is a unique careers matching and information program which helps young people plan their future. eCLIPS has an A-Z listing of job opportunities. 

Students are provided with login details and should see Miss Amdurer if having any problems logging in.
